ABOUT THIS EVENT
Increasing regulatory and investor pressure for advancements in climate-risk actions and disclosures has caused many companies to prioritize and, in some cases, rush to disclose information. The result has been the communication and reporting of incomplete, limited or incorrect data and perceptions of “greenwashing” – claiming commitments and progress for climate action that are not backed by data or relative performance.
Oftentimes sustainability professionals are being asked to do more with insufficient resources to meet the increasing expectations to report sustainability data at comparable levels to financial data. The lack of transparency, comprehensive data and aspirational language is having an impact on the reputation and bottom line of the company.
This 60-minute session will provide practical recommendations and focus on building a carbon accounting and climate-risk strategy and approach that recognizes those limitations and provides consumers, shareholders, and the public with accurate data and transparency.
Tom Knowlton, CEO of CSR Talent Group, will be joined by Alexandra Uribe, the founder of CO2RAL Consulting and Stewart Rassier, head of ESG Strategy at thinkPARALLAX. Alexandra and Stewart will reference their experience with numerous companies and address key questions and provide practical takeaways such as:
The importance of tackling sustainability as a step-by-step process and how to transparently communicate about this
How to report on your carbon footprint accurately and why this impacts your climate strategy
How to avoid greenwashing in your sustainability communications
How to communicate commitments to net zero and other climate change goals
This webinar Is Intended for senior-level CSR, ESG, and Sustainability professionals.
